Pretty good show last night. The Argentine Tango and the Lindy Hop…..nice to see they change it up a bit! I was really impressed with Lil Kim!! She was awesome! She definitely deserved the standing ovation she received from the audience. There were some other good performances but I would have to say that Lil Kim and Ty Murray stood out the most to me. I can’t say Gilles Marini is a favorite of mine. He’s a really good dancer and totally deserves the points he’s been getting so far but I like to root for someone who really has to work at dancing. I love to see the contestants improve over time not have it perfect from day one. Ok, so this brings me to my predictions for who will be voted off tonight. It’s a double elimination. You may have already guessed who I’m going to choose based on earlier blog posts so I’ll just say it…….Holly Madison. Why does she laugh or giggle when the judges are critiquing her? She does it everytime and it’s soo annoying! The other one I’m about to say is a favorite and I like him too but at this point in the competition they really want someone who can dance…and Steve Wozniak just can’t pull it off.  If they happen to have a bottom 4 then I say….Holly Madison, Steve Wozniak, Steve-O and Lawrence Taylor. What do you think?? We’ll discuss tomorrow!

Grey’s Anatomy was sooo good tonight! One of my favorite things about that show is how they incorporate music into the scenes. The music always fits perfectly and soon after the show is over I’m scrambling to find the songs online. And we are left to wonder whether Katherine Heigel will be around next season so I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. As you can tell from some of my blog posts, I only have a select few shows that I truly love. Those include Dancing with the Stars on Monday, the DWTS results show on Tuesday, Grey’s on Thursday and Desperate Housewives on Sunday. Nowhere in that list did you see Americal Idol or LOST. I’ve tried to stomach a episode or two of AI but I think it is boring. As far as LOST goes…I think you had to watch that from the begining in order to get hooked and I never did. So there you go, those are my TV viewing habits. There won’t be alot of TV watching this weekend, it is going to be busy, busy, busy. Saturday is a big “Sunny” day….First I’m on the air from 6am to 10am then I’m off to  the Anthony Thomas Easter Open House from 11 to 1pm and then on to Fifth Third Bank inside Kroger at 850 South Hamilton Road from 3 to 5pm. I told you so!! Denise got booted! I don’t understand how the judges could say she improved during the dance off because she didn’t. Well, we’ll see what happens next week. Now we are one day away from Grey’s Anatomy!! woohoo! Do you think Izzy is going to die? Will McDreamy save her? I’m confused as to what is going to happen to her character as well as McCuddly. Is this their last season? Speaking of confusion…. Is Edie officially dead on Desperate Housewives? We saw hints that she might not have died right away.  My husband loves that show as well as my Father-in-law. I’m sure if we get a chance to head over to my in-laws this weekend it will certainly be discussed. Well meet me back here on Thursday night and we’ll discuss what happened to Izzy!

I’m back at the station and feeling MUCH better. Not quite 100% but getting there at a quick pace! So after sleeping all day I was up in time to catch DWTS. There are so many stars that are doing terribly and the one I’m predicting to get booted is……Denise Richards, she is just plain horrible. There just isn’t any chemistry with her partner Maks…but boy is he HOT! The “Woz” isn’t doing much better but his pleasant disposition makes him a fan favorite. I have found another couple that are quickly becoming a favorite of mine…Ty Murray and Chelsea Hightower. Ty has such a cute personality to him and he tries so hard, he keeps improving. Watching him last night I would have never known he was a cowboy, he looked so handsome and dapper. So, who do you think is getting ousted tonight? Hello! Normally I’m at work right now preparing to go on air but I’m at home taking a much needed sick day. This is one of the worst head colds I have ever had! This was my weekend off so I had big plans to clean and organize since the weather was nice………it didn’t happen.  I have either been in a recliner with a box of tissues at my side or in bed doped up on medicine so I could get some sleep. The biggest problem is that I can’t breathe through my nose and when I breathe through my mouth I cough so hard my head feels like it’s going to burst. I haven’t had it this bad in years! Before I left the studio on Friday morning I did what I promised I would do, I sprayed everything down with disinfectant. Whether it helped I don’t know. I just hope my co-workers don’t get this! After spending the majority of the weekend in a complete fog and at wits end (I feel like a wimp going to the Dr. for a cold), I called my boss this morning and pleaded for another sick day and headed off to the Urgent Care. After a quick run down of my symptoms to the Doctor he told me, and I kid you not!  are you ready??? ……I HAVE A HEAD COLD!!! Are you serious??? No kidding! I could have saved the insurance company money and said that myself! So not only did I have a head cold but I had to wait for 45 minutes in the exam room to hear what he was going to give me for it. After it was all said and done I walked out of there without a prescription and was told to pick up MucinexD and that this cold had the ability to last for ten days. Are you kidding me?  Please don’t get me wrong I’m thankful to Doctors and nurses who have to endure the sick and all the whining that comes with it but I’m just a tad irritated that I had to wait that long to hear the obvious. So here’s the good news, I took my medicine and it’s working wonders! I am able to breathe through my nose….at least enough to sleep through the night. So with fingers crossed I should be good to go tomorrow night. If you are struggling with a bad head cold as well, save your money and just pick up Mucinex D!

I pulled into the parking lot of the station tonight and I honestly don’t know how I got here! Wow, is that scary! I remember pulling out of my driveway and closing the garage door but that was pretty much it. I was so deep in thought that I can’t remember driving here.  Has that ever happened to you? I’ve had it happen before but it’s not a daily occurance. You know come to think of it, I think I’m still under the influence of NyQuil. I’m sick again, but it’s not the stomach bug its a head cold…ugh! As I write this I am keeping tissues close due to all the sneezing. Took some medicine this morning and slept all day. We were having more furniture delivered today and when my husband came to wake me up, I mumbled something and went back to sleep. That was around 5pm. Well, I’m here and awake but feel like my head is in a bucket of water. I did wake up in time to catch Grey’s Anatomy, another one of my favorite shows. Can’t wait to see what happens next week! Alright, I’m starting to get long winded but I did want to let my fellow co-workers know that I will spray everything down with disinfectant before I leave, Promise!

Ahhhh I should have gone with my first choice! I chose her to get kicked off first and then switched and predicted that Holly Madison would be gone first….oh well. I am not liking the new format for eliminations…this whole dance off thing. Just cut to the chase and tell who got voted off already! Ok, enough of that for this week….

On my way into the station I passed a fatal accident which was just a block away from the studios. Henderson Road was shut down and police were everywhere. I found out from one of my co-workers that there were two motorcyclist who were racing each other at a high rate of speed, when a woman pulled out in front of them.  The one motorcyclist went right into the car and was found dead at the scene.  How stupid and senseless. I haven’t passed many fatal accident scenes but you could tell by the amount of police that it was bad. I would have to guess that it was a young man on that motorcycle that was killed and then I thought about the parents who had to receive news that their child was taken from them.  Let’s all remember that in the months to come we will all be bombarded with motorcycles on the roadways. Sometimes we encounter respectful and responsible drivers and sometimes we don’t.  We all need to take a deep breath and back off when those disrespectful drivers appear. Let’s keep everyone safe!

I had all intentions on discussing last nights DWTS BUT we got home late and I missed half the show soooo going off what little I saw… I still think Holly Madison is headed home first, Shawn Johnson and Mark Ballas are still my favorite and my former favorite, Juliane Hough and Chuck Wicks are just plain annoying. I think she had better chemistry with partners that she was always rumored to be in a relationship with but wasn’t.  Just don’t think it’s fair that they are dating and are partners on the show. Can’t wait to see what happens tonight during the results show!! I’ll have lots to say then, as long as I get to see the show!! Talk to you tomorrow…..Happy St. Patrick’s Day! (Yes, I’m Irish!)
